Seated on the banks of the Mississippi River, Quincy - known as the "Gem
City" - is home to recording artist, *Resha!*. Unfamiliar as to why
Quincy is dubbed the " Gem City " leaves most in question - until now.
As a baby, Brenda Humphrey -
*Resha's!* mother - remembers *Resha!* forever humming. Always found
standing next to the record player, *Resha!* began developing a love for
music and the church became the vehicle used to develop her not fully
formed, yet powerful voice. "Because I sang so loud, I was asked to sing
in the choir and later on the worship team very young!" notes *Resha!*
in a very modest tone. It wasn't long after that opportunities began
seeking psalmist, *Resha!*. In fact, later that year during a choir
concert, she was invited to sing as a background vocal to Vanessa Bell
Armstrong.
Always aware of her call, *Resha!* began doing the work of the ministry as a teenager, preaching her first message at the age of 14. Bore out of a deep-seated conviction to win souls, in 2005 *Resha!* became a licensed minister. A veritable testament regarding her dedication is shown through her travel to the women's correctional facility in Vandalia , MO - approximately 1 hour from Quincy . In fact, while ministering at a meeting 'behind the wall', *Resha!* impressed prolific songwriter/manager/producer Mary Reives, project manager for her first-ever solo project, AllNu. "When I first heard Resha it was like something hit me! In fact, when she sings you can feel the power and the anointing. Described in one word, I would call her a 'powerhouse'! Undoubtedly, this is Resha's season!" say Mary Reives, who *Resha!* calls Destiny.
The rise of Gospel psalmist, *Resha!*, has intrigued countless
supporters as many have witnessed firsthand God's power and anointing
behind her incredible gift. Without question, her ministry
has impacted lives here locally and abroad. With an unwavering
commitment to "The Amazing Cathedral of Worship", for over 25 years she
has been a part of the worship team - serving as lead since 2004. "Resha
is the epitome of faithfulness," commented Bishop Warren, senior pastor
of The Amazing Cathedral of Worship.

Away from the stage and busy ministry
schedule, *Resha!* cherishes moments spent with her three children:
Isaiah, Resha, and Jirehl. The second eldest of four siblings by her
mother and a host of extended sisters and brothers, family time growing
up - and even now - are precious moments etched in the mind forever.
Another past time favorite is working in the salon. A graduate of John
Wood Community College- Quincy Beauty Academy - in 1994 she received her
license and has worked in a number of salons including: JC Penney,
Urban Edge Salon, Valerie's Salon & Boutique, and Regis.
With
the completion of her first solo project, AllNu, she is excited about
its' potential and ability to reach so many different audiences. "I just
want people to be captured by the love of God as I have been. I want
them to experience what I have experienced through my music
understanding that He will renew and restore." *Resha!* comments.
